NetWorks Challenge Underway
Annual fundraiser reinvented in 2020
This year the NetWorks Challenge will focus on raising funds to support COVID-19 community grants. With so many people affected by the pandemic, we want to make a tangible impact on the lives of people who need it most.
To date, the CHEST Foundation has awarded more than $60,000 for patient support groups that provide services to those living with chronic lung disease, and we hope this year’s efforts will enable us to continue that work. For every $2,500 raised by a NetWork, the CHEST Foundation will name a grant in honor of your NetWork and provide those resources to a community group in need.
In addition to providing vulnerable populations with funds to purchase essential items (eg, personal protective equipment, cleaning supplies, emergency food purchases), NetWork members will have a chance to test their knowledge against their peers by participating in our NetWorks Challenge Game Series, where they will be asked a series of hand-selected board review questions each week throughout the drive.
Is our team in the lead, take a look.
The NetWorks Challenge will span from Monday, July 27, to Friday, September 4.
In addition to receiving named recognition of your NetWork for each grant provided, the NetWork that raises the most funds, along with the NetWork with the highest percentage of participation, will receive additional prizes, including two complimentary registrations to CHEST 2020. These registrations are specifically for early-career clinicians and fellows-in-training, and they will be selected by each NetWork Steering Committee.
For every $5,000 raised by a NetWork, that NetWork will receive an additional complimentary registration to CHEST 2020, to be awarded to their early-career and fellows-in-training as selected by that NetWork’s Steering Committee.
We encourage participants to share their donation on Twitter and challenge others to do the same using their NetWork’s unique hashtag.
Get in the game
If participants are looking for additional challenges, we encourage them to test their mettle against their peers by playing the NetWorks Challenge Game (a series of multiple-choice questions penned by CHEST Board Review faculty for a chance to win additional prizes.). Not only is it a fun competition, but it will give a sneak peek at CHEST Board Review 2020.
The participant who donates during the NetWorks Challenge with the highest percentage of questions answered correctly will receive a seat in the live learning course of their choosing. Participants who place in the top five will also receive a subscription to CHEST SEEK™ Library or the CHEST e-Learning Library, our most popular education products.
We need YOUR help to advance this initiative and provide underserved communities with the essential items they need to protect themselves against COVID-19. During these uncertain times, your support will truly make a difference. Please join the NetWorks Challenge by donating today.
